Artista Boracay Island Hotel was the brain child of Jimmy & Nenita Lohser a Swiss national & Filipina. Jimmy started coming to Boracay Philippines in the early 1980's when this Island was relatively unknown. Back in the early 80's, Jimmy would frequent a place he fell in love with the first time there, Artista Beach. A place where he and friends would hang out, sing songs by fire-light and listen to the waves of the Sulu sea slapping against the shore, as if the waves were trying to keep time with the rhythm of the music.

Its been over 20 years now, the special place once known as Artista Beach in Boracay has been renamed to Diniwid Beach, but the charm and allure of this private and secluded Boracay Beach that once called out to Jimmy is still here, now stronger than ever. After meeting Nenita in 2000 they decided to build the lovely Artista Beach Boracay Resort that was once reflective of a simpler time, a time less complicated.

In March of 2005 Artista Beach Resort in Boracay, a refined Boutique Hotel with all of the modern amenities found in a 4 star hotel was completed. The principles of Artista Beach Resort in Boracay are quite simple, we cater to those seeking comfort, yet long for freedom. The design of Artista Boracay Resort is in tune with Jimmy's first experience to Boracay Philippines in the early 1980's, that is to keep things open, undefined yet principled in concept to allow all visitors to experience this treasure we have come to know as Boracay Island Philippines. - ENJOY!!
